A limited company is a popular business structure whereby the finances of the business are separate from the owner or owner‘s personal finances. To set up a limited company just head to Companies House where you can form a company for as little as £12.

Before you can complete registration, you’ll need at least 3 pieces of personal information about yourself and your shareholders or guarantors, for example:

• town of birth
• mother’s maiden name
• father’s first name
• telephone number
• national insurance number
• passport number

You’ll also need £12 to cover the cost of registration. You can pay via credit or debit card.
